At Hopewood Oak we believe that every oak framed building that we create should have a feeling for the care and attention that our craftsmen have put into it.

Chris Colclough, the founder and owner of the company, is actively involved in every part of the process and it's his passion and enthusiasm for oak and timber-framing that helps us to go on to design and produce high quality buildings which sit well in the landscape.

All of our oak frames are made by hand. We still use the same centuries old methods, supplemented by the use of modern tooling to speed up processes where possible. Most of our work is carried out at our framing yard where we make the frames and set them out to check for accuracy. The frame is then dismantled, transported to site, ready to assemble.
